Jeanmarie A. Cosgrove, DMD is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. A board certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Cosgrove proudly opened her private practice, Pediatric Dental Center of Avon, in August 2009.

In 1995, Dr. Cosgrove graduated from the University of Connecticut at Storrs as an Honors Scholar with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cell Biology. As part of the Honors Program, she worked in the Virology and Interferon Research Laboratory where she produced and defended her thesis entitled Primary Bovine Tongue Cells as Host for the Study of Interferon Induction and Action by Vesicular Stomatitis Virus. Her research won the prestigious Margaret F. Ertman Award for outstanding undergraduate research.

In 1999, Dr. Cosgrove graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in Farmington, CT. She continued her training at UConn and completed a two-year pediatric dental residency program. While in residency, Dr. Cosgrove gained proficiency in conscious sedation, oral rehabilitation under general anesthesia, and the latest restorative techniques. She especially enjoys custom mouth guard fabrication for the prevention of sports related injuries.

Dr. Cosgrove is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Oral Health and Diagnostic Sciences at UConn School of Dental Medicine where she mentors dental students in the specialty of pediatric dentistry. She is currently on active medical staff at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford, CT. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Connecticut State Dental Association, the Connecticut Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Hartford Dental Society.

Dr. Cosgrove resides in Avon, CT with her husband, daughter, and son. She can be found around town and the Farmington Valley at her kids many practices and games for field hockey, flag football, ice hockey, basketball, lacrosse, baseball, and softball. Her kids always wear their mouth guards!

Staci R. Allen, DDS joined Pediatric Dental Center of Avon in 2016. She is a board certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Originally from New York City, Dr. Allen and her family are happy to call Connecticut home.

In 2007, Dr. Allen graduated magna cum laude from St. John’s University. While at St. John’s, Dr. Allen participated in a variety of community service activities including a week-long trip to New Orleans, Louisiana to help families clean and rebuild their homes following hurricane Katrina. Noticing that there was no pre-dental society at St. John’s University, Dr. Allen joined the pre-medical honor society. She became president of the pre-medical honor society and suggested that the name and mission of the organization be changed to pre-health honor society. This allowed for the inclusion of dental, veterinary and other allied pre-health students.

In 2011, Dr. Allen graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York, NY. She continued her training with a one-year general practice residency program at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT followed by a two-year pediatric dental residency program in San Diego, CA. While in residency, Dr. Allen gained proficiency in treating patients with special health care needs, oral rehabilitation under general anesthesia, and a variety of preventative and restorative procedures. She especially enjoys placing Zirconia (white) posterior crowns.

Dr. Allen currently has hospital privileges at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford, CT. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Connecticut State Dental Association, the Connecticut Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Hartford Dental Society. Dr. Allen resides in South Windsor, CT with her husband and daughter. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She is a member of the South Windsor Mom’s Club.

Prior to working as a dental assistant, Susan was employed at an elementary school for 12 years while raising her daughter. Always knowing she wanted to work in the medical field and with children, she decided to pursue a career in dental assisting. Susan completed the dental assisting program at Valley Medical Institute and soon after became a Certified Dental Assistant. She joined the team in 2011.

Reading, cooking, working out, and spending time with family and friends are some of the things she enjoys in her free time.

Chris joined Pediatric Dental Center of Avon in May of 2017. A native of Connecticut, Chris graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in English. Prior to working at the practice, Chris was employed at Hartford Life Insurance for 23 years. During his time there, his responsibilities ranged from processing customer requests to writing procedure and training documentation to maintaining reference intranet sites. Chris enjoys learning about the business aspects of pediatric dentistry and is able to apply his former experience to his current position.

In addition to spending time with his wife at work, Chris enjoys his time away from the office with their daughter, son, dog, and cat.
